St. Paul the Apostle Parish

The greatest consideration for St. Paul the Apostle was to provide a beautifully designed new church building suitable for worship and gatherings yet cost effective for a modest budget. Although the actual construction and finish materials were selected from a limited palate each was used in effective way to enhance the ceremonial aspects of the space itself. All aspects including form, size, materials, and finishes were carefully considered in order to achieve a cost effective yet appropriately ceremonial space. VBA also designed stained glass windows and the Stations of the Cross. All materials selected took into consideration aspects of sustainability and their impact on energy efficiency. Located in Corona, Queens and designed for 350 parishioners, St. Paul the Apostle was the only Church in the new Millennium for the Diocese of Brooklyn, the final product was worthy of the achievements it set forth.
